Biography

Dr. Susan Franceschet is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Calgary. She has researched and published extensively on women's political representation in parliaments and cabinets around the world. Her current research project explores parenthood and politics, asking whether motherhood affects political careers the same way as fatherhood and whether parliaments could do more to accommodate members with small children.
