Biography
Dr. Meredith Ralston is Professor in the Departments of Women’s Studies and Political Studies at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her work has been in the areas of prostitution and sex tourism in the Philippines and the Gambia, women and politics, and homeless women and prostitution in Canada. She has written three books and produced six documentaries on the subjects of women in politics, sex work, and sex tourism. Her forthcoming book from McGill Queen's University Press is entitled Slut-Shaming, Whorephobia and the Unfinished Sexual Revolution.
