Shirley Weir's launched MenopauseChicks.com to empower women to navigate perimenopause with more confidence and ease, to connect with women’s health professionals—and more importantly, to connect women with each other. Weir is the curator and conversation host of the popular Menopause Chicks Private Online Community on Facebook www.facebook.com/groups/MenopauseChicks where she is currently managing over 14,000 queries each month.
Weir spoke at TedXGastown Women, Pecha Kucha, received a YWCA Vancouver Woman of Distinction Award, and Menopause Chicks has been featured in the National Post, Toronto Star, and OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network). In April 2016, Weir hosted the first-ever online menopause party celebrating her own menopause milestone. She and rock star, Bif Naked, discussed reframing menopause in our culture so women can overcome challenges.
