Biography

Andrea Seale is a leader in the nonprofit field who empowers people to build and support the causes that make our world more compassionate, healthy and just. She is currently the CEO of the Canadian Cancer Society. Prior to joining the Canadian Cancer Society, Andrea was acting CEO of the David Suzuki Foundation, Canada’s most influential advocate for environmental conservation. She helped the Foundation build one of the largest online communities of any Canadian NGO, increase its revenue from private philanthropy, and launch important initiatives in climate change policy, biodiversity protection, and the establishment of environmental rights.

Seale was also the founder of Blueprint Fundraising and Communications, Director of Individual Giving for Ecojustice and Director of Development for The Banff Centre for the Arts. She has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Communications from McGill University and a Diploma in Public Relations from Mount Royal University. She has served as a director for the Vancity Community Foundation, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Modo.
