Biography

Reyhana Patel is the Head of Public Relations and Government Relations at Islamic Relief Canada. She manages the PR department and also heads the organization's work on Gender Based Violence - specifically on FGM/C, early marriage and domestic violence.

She is currently a Fellow at the Global Institute for Engagement in Washington, DC

Prior to joining Islamic Relief Canada, Reyhana worked as a Broadcast Journalist and News Producer for BBC News. She also contributed to the Huffington Post, The Independent Online in the UK and has worked with various mainstream media outlets - such as Al Jazeera English and Channel 4 in the UK
