Biography

Katie Oppen is the PIPSC representative to the Canadian Labour Congress Women's Committee, the Chair of her workplace Women's Circle and the President of her local NDP Riding Association, Ottawa-Vanier. She advocates for electoral reform, women's rights, and against income inequality. She is a published writer and has hosted her own cable television show in Edmonton. She has been an academic, entrepreneur, activist, labour organizer, and now is employed as a policy analyst with the federal government.
