Biography

Research in Dr. Philip’s lab focuses on the regulation of TGF-beta signaling in the skin and cartilage. In the skin, her research is centred on the development of novel TGF-beta antagonists for the treatment of aberrant wound healing, fibrosis, and cancer metastasis. In the cartilage, the work focuses on understanding the interplay between TGF-beta receptors and co-receptors in regulating chondrocyte function. Research in Philip lab is supported by grants from Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the US Department of Defence (DOD).
