Biography
When Katie McMillan started working with geographic information systems at Health Canada as an 18-year-old, she didn’t realize it would turn into a career. Now, 11 years later, she is more enthralled with information systems and information technology for healthcare than ever. Highlights from her resume include several big data and analytics roles, CHIMA leadership training, becoming the first Geographic Information Systems Analyst for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, speaking on geographic information systems and information technology for healthcare, and working as a female fibre optics/networking technician.
