Biography

Carol-Ann Courneya is an Associate Professor of Physiology in the Department of Cellular & Physiological Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, at the University of British Columbia. Her research is in Medical Education. Recently, Courneya has been studying the role of Arts and Humanities in shaping wellness and professional identity in medical students. In addition, she has researched medical student electives and residency match success. Her previous interests have included faculty development, medical student admissions. She has ongoing scholarly connections with Patan Academy of Health Sciences in Nepal.
