Biography

Dr. Janis A. McKenna is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of British Columbia. Her research areas is in particle and nuclear physics, focusing on topics of heavy quark physics, precision electroweak tests in Standard Model, CP violation. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the BC Faculty of Science Achievement Award for Service, 2013, the Killam Prize for Excellence in Teaching (2005) and the Izaac Walton Killam Memorial Fellowship (2002-3).
