Our Project
In this study, we explore the use of digital technology as a learning tool among Canadian children (grades 3-8) across urban and rural locations in New Brunswick and Ontario. We consider how elementary school students are using digital technology and the role of families and schools in this process. It is our hope that this project will provide information about the use of digital technology as a learning tool, children’s autonomy in the use of technology, and the guidance that parents and teachers provide to children in their use of digital technologies. We also desire to inform parent-school communications in this process.
