Biography

Alexandra Macqueen is Vice President, Learning, Development and Professional Practice at FP Canada and is responsible for leading the FP Canada Institute™, a division of FP Canada™ dedicated to elevating the practice of financial planning through education. In her role, she oversees the development and ongoing operation of FP Canada’s educational programs for prospective and existing CFP® professionals and QAFP® professionals, ensuring the currency and relevance of education for professional financial planners.

Macqueen is a recognized expert in financial planning whose diverse and progressive career has spanned many roles across the profession. She has been certified as a Certified Financial Planner® professional since 2007. She has delivered thousands of hours of industry teaching, including serving as an adjunct faculty member at the Schulich School of Business. She is co-author of several well-known retirement planning books and is a longstanding industry commentator.
