Biography
Christin Wiedemann is the President of Radical I/O, a consultancy and lab in Vancouver that works with government, ethical enterprises, nonprofits, and community-focused organizations to build impactful technology that makes a difference. She has a Ph.D. in physics, developing initiatives that aim to move the technology sector forwards. She is currently a member of the Standards Council Canada’s committee on Artificial Intelligence. Wiedemann is also an outspoken advocate for gender diversity, and currently serves as Co-Chair of the BC Chapter of Women in Communications and Technology (WCT-BC), and she is a member of the Gender Equality Network Canada (GENC).

Make Possible
Make Possible (http://www.makepossible.ca/) was developed in 2014 by members of SCWIST (Society for Women in Science and Technology) with funding support from Status of Women Canada to attract, retain and advance women in science and technology. Make Possible is a free online platform where people can mentor and be mentored, create networking connections, focus on professional development and achieve their career aspirations.
Gender Equality Network Canada (GENC)
Through a national network, more than 130 women leaders from across Canada will have an opportunity to work together over the next three years to advocate for policy changes, build inclusive intersectional leadership, and take collective action to advance gender equality in Canada. GENC will address systemic change on women’s equality and facilitate national collaboration for action.

Women in Communications and Technology (WCT)
Since 1991, Women in Communications and Technology (WCT, https://www.wct-fct.com/) has been dedicated to the advancement of women as leaders and contributors to Canada’s technology and communications sectors. Through a coast to coast chapters and a national network of women, leaders, companies and partners, WCT empowers women and their careers and contributes to Canada’s growth of the information, communications and technology talent pool.
Christin has been serving as the Co-Chair of the BC Chapter since 2017.
Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST)
The Society for Canadian Women In Science and Technology, or SCWIST (http://www.scwist.ca/), was founded in 1981 as a not-for-profit association aiming at encouraging women into science, engineering and technology; supporting and promoting the education of girls and women through programs and activities in partnership with the community.
Christin was on the Board of SCWIST between 2015 and 2018, serving as the President between 2016 and 2018.
