Biography

Anna Ziolecki, Director of Partners for Action at the University of Waterloo, leads a network of collaborators from academia, government, the private sector, and non-government organizations, who are committed to advancing Canadian flood resiliency in a changing climate. With more than 15 years of experience in university research development and administration, Ziolecki has seen first-hand how applied research partnerships involving diverse stakeholders can effect meaningful change when directed at solving complex social problems like flooding. She has conducted research on many contemporary policy issues, including flood risk communication, municipal storm water management programs, and related government financial incentive programs. She has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Victoria, a Master of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and an Honor’s Bachelor of Arts from Western University.
