Biography

Lori Livingston is the Provost and Vice-President Academic at Ontario Tech University. A Kinesiologist by training, she is a leading national and international expert in amateur sports officiating, with emphasis on the reasons why people enter into, stay, or drop out from the role. She has worked extensively with provincial and national sport organizations in advancing and supporting officials for success. Livingston has an extensive background in sport, including as an internationally-experienced athlete, coach, umpire, and administrator in the sport of women's field lacrosse. An accomplished athlete and academic in her own right, she is the former President of both the Canadian Association of Health Sciences Deans (CAHSD) and the Canadian Council of University Physical Education and Kinesiology Administrators (CCUPEKA). She has held academic appointments and administrative roles at four Canadian universities and has over 200 academic publications and presentations to her credit.
