Biography

Dr. Lynda Balneaves is an associate professor in Nursing at the University of Manitoba following appointments at UBC and the University of Toronto. Her research program focuses on complementary and alternative therapy used by people living with cancer and supporting informed decisions by both patients and health professionals. More recently, Balneaves has conducted research on access to medical cannabis and health policy related to medical and recreational cannabis in Canada. Balneaves is President of the Society for Integrative Oncology and Deputy Director of the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids.
