Biography
Bev Moore Davis is an award-winning advocate and a best-selling author. In 2021, she earned the prestigious title of the number one bestselling author in Newfoundland and Labrador for her debut book, White Picket Monsters. Her memoir details the horrific account of manipulation, sexual exploitation, and extreme violence suffered as a child at the hands of her adopted parents. Her story is one of survival and perseverance.
Bev is the founder of the Miles for Smiles Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the support, awareness, and prevention of child abuse. Her lived experiences and community work provide valuable insight into the crimes of abuse committed against children. Bev established Newfoundland and Labrador's first support group for adult survivors of child abuse in 2011.
She is an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, writer, a trained facilitator in child sexual abuse prevention and holds a position with the Board of Directors for the province's first Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.
