Biography

Leva Rouhani is a doctoral candidate in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. Her research focuses on the role of local women’s associations in addressing gender-based violence in Benin West Africa, particularly the relationship between the activities of local women’s associations, the empowerment of women, and social norm change against gender-based violence.
