Biography

Megan Cotnam-Kappel is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa, and a specialist in the field of Education, minority-language education and educational technologies. She received doctoral degrees from the Université de Corse and the University of Ottawa, followed by the completion of a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research agenda targets the empowerment of Francophone youth and teachers through the expression of their voices and the development of their digital literacies skills. Cotnam-Kappel is deeply committed to teaching and research aiming to close digital divides for minority groups across Canada and the world. She is the co-author of 12 scientific journal articles, four book chapters, and two edited volumes. An engaged Franco-Ontarian citizen, she is committed to sharing her expertise in both official languages.
