Biography

Meagan Cloutier is a PhD candidate at the University of Calgary. She explores the role of front-line workers in representative democracy. She is investigating the backroom dynamics of political recruitment, Members of Parliament as employers, and gendered divisions of representational work in federal politics. Cloutier is also researching harassment in politics, including harassment of political staffers, both online and in person. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary.
