Women Seeking Justice (BWSS Legal Advocacy Program)

‘Women Seeking Justice’ a forum illuminating pressing legal issues for women in law practice and policy including Indigenous, international, immigration, refugee, criminal, family, and poverty. Presented by Battered Women’s Support Services, Legal Advocacy Program in honour of International Women’s Day 2015.

BWSS Legal Advocacy Program provides an array of legal services for women experiencing violence and interfacing with the law. For more than 26 years BWSS has provided this program because we know that for women leaving abusive relationships the complication of dealing with the power/control issues of a violent spouse makes navigating the legal system more difficult. BWSS Legal Advocacy Program recently began offering full representation by a practicing lawyer. http://www.bwss.org
