Biography

Danica Nelson is a speaker, travel enthusiast, a personal finance educator, and an award-winning senior marketer who has worked at companies like TELUS and Shopify.

She's also an equity, diversity, and inclusion advocate with an emphasis on intersectionality and belonging in the workplace.

She speaks transparently about navigating burnout as a Black woman in the workplace, and also about remote work while travelling abroad. She's visited 25+ countries and also enjoys teaching women how to travel solo while staying safe.

She's also passionate about teaching women how to make and manage money through investing, side hustles/freelancing, budgeting, and more.

Nelson's awards include the 2021 “Future 50” by The Drum, a list of the best emerging Marketers in the world, the 2020 “Top 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada” by CIBWE, and the 2019 “New Establishment: Brand” award (formerly known at the Marketing Mag 30 Under 30 award) by Strategy Magazine.
