Biography

Rachel Thomas is a PhD candidate in the interdisciplinary humanities program at Concordia University in Montreal. Her research is focussed on the fat female body in society/medicine, and how this body is understood, stigmatized, revered, and hated all at once. Using comics as a platform, Thomas seeks to make highly academic research more accessible to the general population.
