Biography

Dr. Gillian Petit is a postdoctoral Research Associate at the School of Public Policy in the Fiscal and Economic Policy division. She holds a PhD in economics from the University of Calgary and a Masters in Economics, and a Juris Doctorate from Queen’s University. Her current research focuses on income supports and tax policy for low-income persons and other marginalized persons in Canada. Her past research includes applied economics research in the economics of legal institutions and on taxation.
