Biography

Yuan Stevens (she/they) is the Responsible AI Adoption Lead at the Applied AI Institute (AI2) at Concordia University. She brings 8 years of experience on AI governance to the Applied Institute team.

Stevens works closely with AI2’s team of in-house software engineers — sharing her deep expertise in navigating the complex legal and ethical challenges posed by AI/ML solutions. She also undertakes critical knowledge mobilization efforts that empower communities to engage in key AI policy discussions in Montreal and Canada.

When she’s not at her computer exploring utopian futures, you can find Stevens planning her next writing project, making art, or dancing with friends on the weekend.
