Biography

Zahra Bhimani is an experienced health systems professional bringing a 7+ year record of success in spearheading program development and project management. She brings an intrapreneurial spirit having successfully launched and executed multiple health system transformation initiatives in previous roles across the University Health Network and most recently at St. Michael’s Hospital, advancing patient safety, digital health and clinical research in pandemic preparedness. She has successfully managed and collaborated with a diverse range of stakeholders, including international, government and community stakeholders, donors and patients to advance the missions of organizations in population and public health settings. As part of her community work, Bhimani was recently appointed to Generation Calgary's Strategic Planning and Operationalization Committee to drive joyful living through long-term care, equitable housing and high quality social programming. Bhimani has a Masters of Public Health from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Communications from Carleton University. She is also PMP certified.
