The recipient of numerous accolades for her innovative leadership, Rebecca Shields is a mental health advocate, philanthropist, and committed community builder who, after many years, has figured out that great planning inspires hopes and dreams and not the other way around. As CEO of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s fastest growing branch, Shields leads extensive mental health and addictions services to help people in York Region, South Simcoe and across Ontario learn to maintain and improve mental health, build resilience and support recovery from mental illness.
