Dr. Norah MacKendrick is Associate Professor of Sociology at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She is a Canadian, trained and educated in Alberta and Ontario. Her research illustrates how environmental policy failures play out in the lives of everyday people, especially mothers who are tasked with feeding and shopping for children. She brings a unique understanding to stories about motherhood and environmental health, especially the problem of toxins in food, toys, beauty products and household goods.
