Biography
Michèle Stanners is an experienced and results-oriented board member with over 25 years of experience holding different roles in non-profit, government, membership driven and for-profit organizations. She is recognised for her leadership and strong strategic skills, and demonstrates a natural affinity for building capacity, effectively engaging stakeholders and ensuring financial sustainability. For over two decades, she has been designing and delivering programs to build bridges of understanding with First Nations. Stanners has proven strengths in embracing and leveraging the power of diversity to respond to complex cultural challenges and ensure broad-based commitment and inclusive decision making. She has extensive experience in business development, communications, turnarounds and public speaking. She is a graduate of Harvard University, an accomplished pianist and provides strategic advice to leaders throughout Canada.
