Biography

Dr. Emily McEwan is a publisher, author, and presenter in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has been involved with Gaelic in Scotland and later Nova Scotia for over 30 years. Previously as an academic, she specialized in the study of language and culture; signs and symbols; and saving minority languages. McEwan is the author of The Scottish Gaelic Tattoo Handbook and numerous academic research articles on Gaelic revitalization.
