Biography
Sarah Jacknife is a highly accomplished Indigenous relations expert and advocate for Indigenous rights and reconciliation with almost a decade of experience. She is the founder of Jacknife Consulting and an instructor at the University of Calgary where she teaches a graduate-level Indigenous Public Policy course. Her work has taken her around across Canada and internationally. Jacknife worked in municipal government in Aotearoa/New Zealand, led Indigenous awareness training for international recruitment firms, and worked with Indigenous university students across Canada. She currently serves on the Calgary Urban Aboriginal Committee and the Indigenous Leadership Circle. She is a proud member of Elizabeth Métis Settlement with connections to Saddle Lake Cree First Nation, Treaty 6, but she currently resides as a visitor in Mohkinstsis/Calgary as a visitor in Treaty 7.
