Biography
Dr. Aftab Erfan is a scholar-practitioner, serving as the Executive Director of the SFU Centre for Dialogue, and Associate Member in the School of Public Policy. She was previously Director of Dialogue and Conflict Engagement at the University of British Columbia, and taught at UBC's School of Community and Regional Planning where she obtained her PhD in 2013. She is a master facilitator, and specializes in the study of deep rooted conflicts, the possibilities of transformative justice, and methods of deliberative democracy and is currently working on a book tentatively titled "Facilitating at the end of the world".
