Biography
Natasha Knox is Principal for Alaphia Financial Wellness Inc. a boutique fee-for-service financial planning firm centred around holistic financial wellness where she incorporates financial therapy in her practice to help people think, feel, communicate, and behave better around money. She is also the Co-Founder of a fintech app which is currently under development. The purpose of the app is to democratize access to emotional and financial wellbeing, so that those most in need of the service are able to access it affordably. Knox has several professional designations, including the Certified Financial Planner Professional, Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner, a Certified Financial Behaviour Specialist. Additionally, she holds a graduate Certificate in in Financial Therapy from Kansas State University, and she is level one trained in Internal Family Systems through the Internal Family Systems Institute. She has written articles published in the Globe and Mail, and Forbes, and has been featured on Good Morning America, Global TV and CBC news radio in Canada. She has been featured and quoted in a number of national publications in Canada and the US including CNBC, Business Insider, Vox, the Financial Post and more. Community participation and service form part of her core value system. Currently, she is a provincially appointed director to the Douglas College Board, where she currently serves as Chair, as well as serving on the finance and audit committee for the BC College of Nurses and Midwives. She also serves on the board of directors of the Financial Therapy Association as the 2024 Conference Chair. She has volunteered her time with FP Canada in the past and is a contributor to the FP Collective.
