Biography

Samantha Hackett is the Executive Director of the Tofino-Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, where she fosters partnerships and collaboration within the Tofino Business Community and beyond. With a robust background in the business sector, she previously served as the General Manager of Long Beach Lodge Resort, where she managed operations across food and beverage, adventure activities including surfing, and accommodations.

From 2013 to 2024, Hackett played a significant role on the Tourism Tofino Board, contributing as Director, Treasurer, Vice-Chair, Chair, and Past Chair. Additionally, from 2022 to 2024, she broadened her network as a board member of the BC Hotel Association, representing Vancouver Island North.

A dedicated community member, Hackett is actively involved in various initiatives aimed at enhancing life in the Pacific Rim for both residents and visitors. Notably, she has been the chair of the West Coast Multiplex Society since 2012, working towards the development of a wellness and recreation facility for the region.
