Biography

I am an innovator. I form strategic partnerships with corporations and NGOs from across Canada and US and help break barriers with the intention of making the world a better place.

I am named the 2021 WXN Canada's Most Powerful Women:Top 100 Award Winners. I have won the NCWIT Educator Award for the outstanding commitment to diversity in Computer Science education, awarded the International Women's Day Award by Dancing Damsels for working towards achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world.

Additionally, I have been nominated for the 2021 Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards, the 2020 WomenTech’s Global Awards in The Women & Diversity in Tech Ally of the Year, 2018 the Premier’s Award by George Brown College.

I am named a Role Model for Canadians by Barbie’s “You can be anything campaign” to help celebrate today’s career woman and to inspire young women everywhere to pursue careers of their choice. I am also named a Trailblazer by Women in IP of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada for the work done so far to create opportunities for the next generation to enter STEM fields.

Because of my leadership, hEr VOLUTION is now known as an award-winning organization recognized for the Advancement of Young Women in STEM by ImpactAI.

WIPNG members across Canada are celebrating World Intellectual Property Day by inviting women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to join us to celebrate our successes. This is a national event, with locations in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.

Women in IP, many of whom started in STEM, face many of the same challenges as women in STEM and that it is important to share not just our challenges, but also our achievements.

This inaugural event briefly featured the stories of women who have been trailblazers and inspirations for all of us.

    The Assaulted Women's and Children's Counsellor / Advocate program provides students with a feminist analysis of the political and counselling issues related to violence against women and children. It trains students to be agents for change in their work of community education, political action and law reform. It prepares students to provide counselling and advocacy for women and children who have experienced or are experiencing violence. Fieldwork is a major component of the program. Students may be eligible to do part of their fieldwork in international placements.
