Biography
Dr. St-Hilaire's doctoral research examined the sub-cultural phenomenon of reborn dolls from a feminist perspective. Being one of few researchers studying the topic of dolls, doll culture, and synthetic relationships, St-Hilaire is regularly contacted by journalists on the topic of dolls. Her research has been cited in The Guardian (US), Le Temps (Switzerland), Gehirn & Geist (Germany) La Presse (Québec) and Cosmopolitan (US), among others. St-Hilaire was also a guest on the NPR podcast Audacious with Chion Wolf and has also spoken about her research on CBC radio in Canada in both French and English.
