Will ethical issues upend the Liberal election campaign? The Conservatives certainly hope so — and they’re getting a hand from an unlikely source: the Canadian media.
At a news conference in London, Globe and Mail reporter Stephanie Levitz and CBC News anchor Rosemary Barton grilled Prime Minister Mark Carney on his personal finances. “For a guy who has spent most of his life in the private sector, there’s no possible conflict of interest in your assets,” Barton insisted. “That’s very difficult to believe.”....

Biography
Tasha Kheiriddin is one of Canada's best-known political analysts, thought leaders, and strategists. Fluently bilingual in English and French, she is a best-selling author, national political columnist for Postmedia, a writer for GZero Media, author of In My Opinion on Substack, and a political analyst for Radio Canada. Kheiriddin lectures at the Max Bell School of Public Policy, provides media commentary in both English and French and is a sought-after speaker, emcee and moderator. A graduate of McGill University, Kheiriddin first practiced law and worked for the Attorney General of Ontario. She then moved into media, where she host-produced programming for CBC Newsworld, CPAC, CTV News Channel and Global News Radio, was a political analyst for Radio Canada, and a member of the editorial board of the National Post. In 2016, she was named one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Media and Communications by the Women's Executive Network. In the course of her career, Kheiriddin also worked for several think tanks and advocacy groups, including the Montreal Economic Institute, the Fraser Institute, and the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. She also ran her own communications consultancy for over a decade and was a principal with Navigator Ltd, Canada’s leading high stakes strategic advisory and communications firm. Kheiriddin continues to provide strategic communications advice and thought leadership through her consultancy, Ellipsum Public Affairs. Kheiriddin has written two best-selling books on conservatism, including The Right Path: How Conservatives can Unite, Inspire and Take Canada Forward, and Rescuing Canada’s Right: Blueprint for a Conservative Revolution. She has contributed chapters on tax policy and justice to two other books, How To Cut Public Spending (and still win an election), and The Harper Factor: Assessing a Prime Minister’s Policy Legacy. Kheiriddin volunteered with the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, worked in the offices of the federal Minister of Employment and Immigration in Ottawa as well as that of the Ontario Attorney General at Queen’s Park, and served as President of the PC Youth Federation in the late 1990s. In 2022 she co-chaired the campaign of the Hon. Jean Charest for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada.
