Dr. Pamela Palmater is an award-winning Indigenous lawyer, professor, podcaster, media commentator and bestselling author from Eel River Bar First Nation. She has been a lawyer in good standing for 25 years and has four university degrees, including a JSD focusing on Indigenous rights and constitutional law. She has more than 250+ publications and her most recent book: Warrior Life made the Toronto Star and Globe and Mail bestseller lists. She has won numerous awards for her work in advancing Indigenous rights, international human rights, and social justice, including Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers, Top 25 Movers and Shakers, Woman of Excellence, and Most Inspiring Women. In addition to being a well-known public speaker, Palmater provides political and legal commentary on CBC, CTV, Global News, APTN, BBC, and TVO. With more than 35 years of experience, she is considered a legal expert who has testified before Parliamentary and Senate committees, United Nations human rights treaty bodies, and public inquiries like the NS Mass Casualty Commission and the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
