Biography

Christine Brubaker is a theatre artist, educator and performance researcher. As a director, she has worked on major Canadian stages, including the Shaw and Stratford Festivals, Citadel Theatre, and Theatre Passe Muraille. She has directed over 15 world premieres, including the W.O.Mitchell 2023 prize winning play, The Extinction Therapist, by Clem Martini. Brubaker is the creator of Henry G20, a digital adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry V, which premiered at Luminato 2021, and is the co-creator of 7th Cousins, a performance based on a 500km walk. She is Artistic Director and Co-founder of Action Pants Arts which explores the integration of mobile interactive technology into live theatre.
