Biography

Sharon Morsink completed her BSc in Physics at the University of Waterloo, and her PhD on black holes at the University of Alberta. After a postdoctoral fellowship studying neutron star physics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Sharon Morsink returned to the U of Alberta where she is now an Associate Professor of Physics. Along with her teaching and research duties, she also manages the university’s observatory and is very involved with astronomy outreach.
