Sarah Chow from the UBC Life Sciences Institute (Cellular & Physiological Sciences) presented in the inaugural UBC Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on "Mending Broken Hearts: A Novel Approach to Designing Heart Rate Controlling Drugs".

Biography

Sarah Chow has PhD in physiology and is currently working as a Factual TV story producer. On the weekends, she works part-time as a science outreach facilitator travelling around the Lower Mainland, performing science demonstrations to audiences of all ages. She gives a unique perspective to the world of science and the media since she has worked in both fields.
