Biography

Megan Rafuse is CEO and Co-Founder of Shift Collab, the largest online mental health practice that is female and clinician-owned. As a social worker and psychotherapist in the Canadian mental health space for over 13 years, Rafuse leveraged her expertise to challenge and solve a gap in the industry, where tech platforms and marketing companies were built on the backs of therapists and clients, rather than being clinician-owned and ethically operated. As a vocal advocate, Rafuse proudly challenged the status quo, starting a clinician first, therapy practice aimed at changing industry norms, and offering simple, relatable and accessible mental health care. She has since bootstrapped to hold ownership in the wellness space, creating Shift Collab, a go-to resource for counseling, custom therapy matching and mental healthcare needs. In addition to leading Shift Collab, Rafuse has co-created several high-profile mental health education programs such as Real Campus, a student assistance program, and What’s Your Big Lie? which has been presented to over a half million people around the world. Rafuse is an active speaker and advisor in the Canadian mental health and startup community. She is also a proud 2023 Women of Inspiration finalist, a 2023 Top 100 Women finalist, and was awarded 2023 Exceptional Alumni from her alma mater, Lakehead University.
