Biography
Tereska Gesing is an expert and speaker in urban agriculture, and a key figure in the development of the urban agriculture industry in Montreal. She is the founder and owner of Urban Seedling, a vegetable gardening service and garden centre dedicated to growing edible plants. She is a founding member and chair of the board of directors of Grand Potager, a non-profit organization that runs the Verdun Greenhouses as an Urban Agriculture Centre, an incubator for innovative projects and a hub for the community. Gesing also sits on the board of Réseau Cultiver Montréal, where she draws on her skills and experience to develop the Urban Agriculture industry at the municipal level.
